Simply Marketing Jobs is celebrating a major uplift in the number of job vacancies posted on the website during 2013, reporting a 35% rise compared with 2012.

The data suggests 2013 was a year for recruitment drives, with marketing departments seeking new talent to support business growth plans.

Our specialist jobs board was able to present marketing sector jobseekers with a total of 31,197 advertised roles in 2013, a big jump from the 23,065 posted by recruiters the year before. As a niche jobs board, Simply Marketing Jobs is a valuable source of job postings aimed specifically at marketing professionals. Jobseekers benefit from jobs aimed specifically towards their area of expertise and are more likely to gain a job suited to their skills. Recruiters are clearly seeing the advantage of tapping into a hugely relevant talent pool.

While London and the South East continue to dominate in terms of the numbers of marketing jobs advertised, Simply Marketing Jobs has also seen growth in vacancies advertised in Yorkshire, the North West and the West Midlands. Digital marketing, CRM and online analytics are skills particularly in demand, but there are plenty of opportunities for brand managers, marketing and PR generalists and direct marketing professionals.
